A lightweight vintage tortoiseshell necklace from the 1970s, discovered at an antique shop near Boston, becomes the base for this bold statement piece. The scalloped links create a flattering shape along the neckline, while a faceted black glass teardrop pendant framed with 15 smaller stones adds drama at the center. A substantial amber glass bead bridges the two elements and ties the warm tortoiseshell tones into the pendant beautifully. Finished with an antiqued gold-tone toggle clasp.
